About InkyPing
Who makes this little zine, and who pays for the ink.
InkyPing is a sketchbook-style zine of short pings: quick, curious notes about the delightful details in apps and indie VR games. Think of a mascot’s raised eyebrow, a satisfying “click”, or a mixed-reality trick that makes your sofa part of the level. Most pings take about five minutes to read.
Who’s behind it
InkyPing launched in 2026. The pings are written by our publisher’s editorial team, and that’s why they’re signed “The InkyPing Editors” rather than with made-up names. Who the publisher is, and how to reach them, is in our legal notice.
Our publisher also makes or publishes some of the things we write about:

So, honestly: when a ping is about one of these, it’s written by the maker, not by an independent reviewer. We love the tiny details in our own work, but we try to be fair about the rough edges too. The full wording lives in our disclaimer.
What we promise
- Small and specific. Every ping looks closely at something real you can see, hear or try.
- Fair to everyone else. Our lists include apps and indie games by other people, and we describe them accurately and warmly.
- No made-up voices. No invented reader messages, testimonials, quotes, ratings or awards.
- No tracking. No cookies, no analytics, no ads, no embeds. Just ink.
